In the heart of the 15th arrondissement, a magnificent building with cascading terraces invites you to climb up. At the very top, a sublime duplex apartment with a roof terrace facing the Eiffel Tower and a terrace below.
Here, we created a harmony between plant life and landscape design without obstructing the 360° view of the Parisian surroundings. Groves and imposing vegetation were skilfully used to mask the surrounding buildings. The flooring has been redesigned with entirely ecological, maintenance-free wood planks. Elegant claustras cover the walls. Made-to-measure planters solve waterproofing problems while preserving plant roots. This modern rooftop terrace offers a botanical paradise in the heart of the 15th arrondissement, whose tall towers are almost reminiscent of the New York skyline. A second sunken terrace extends the lounge and offers a delightful summer dining room, surrounded by reconstituted wood, mirrors and lush vegetation for convivial dining.
Before / after
A word from the architect
« For a duplex apartment, we had to create a single-storey balcony terrace with a roof terrace surrounded by the towers of the 15th arrondissement. The work at the heart of this project consisted in creating a green setting while overlooking the urbanization, and playing on perspectives with exterior mirrors. »
