To create a multifunctional space that harmoniously combines a children’s playground with an adult-friendly zone, while allowing people to enjoy the outdoors without feeling visually exposed. The layout is designed to be practical and pleasant to use, while avoiding overcrowding.

Concept
In the heart of Paris’s 11th arrondissement, we transformed a rooftop terrace originally dominated by imposing faces into a veritable haven of relaxation. This project has transformed a largely exposed space into an oasis of comfort, offering both serenity and elegance.
The ground has been carefully designed to provide the ideal playground for children, while incorporating an elegant terrace at the heart of high-quality artificial turf. This turf, laid on a bed of sand with a flexible base, perfectly imitates the sensation of walking on real grass.
To create harmony between the materials, we designed a rounded wooden deck that blends delicately into the lawn, providing a space for meals and aperitifs while offering children a play area right at the heart of the landscaping.
At the center of this creation, we installed a cabanon inspired by Corsican designs, which houses both a hut for children, a vegetable garden dedicated to adults, as well as a cleverly concealed storage space. Surrounded by decorative pots and a variety of materials, the pagoda blends perfectly into an English-style garden, while allowing lighting and watering to be concealed beneath the terrace to preserve its uncluttered aesthetic.
The furniture pieces, signed Ego Paris and Houe, offer a perfect combination of elegance and durability. Resistant to weather conditions all year round, they are also designed for simplified maintenance thanks to their removable covers.
Finally, a custom-made pergola from our partner Concept Alu was set against the building’s facade to optimize visual space, with only two visible posts discreetly integrating rainwater drainage and lighting. This harmonious project combines comfort, functionality and aesthetics, providing the perfect setting for convivial moments with family and friends.
