Concept
On this unique roof terrace, perched in the heart of Neuilly-sur-Seine, an extraordinary transformation has been achieved, metamorphosing an ordinary space into a veritable sanctuary of lush vegetation. The play of mirrors adds a fascinating dimension, multiplying perspectives and offering unexpected reflections that amplify the sensation of space and surrounding nature. The layout begins with an open-air dining room, where the art of entertaining is combined with a breathtaking view of the City of Light. But that’s not all: thanks to the clever integration of mirrors, the magic happens, reflecting breathtaking panoramas of La Défense on one side, and the majestic Eiffel Tower on the other, revealing itself like a hidden treasure.
The terrace, once surrounded by a low concrete wall, has been raised to the same level as the wall, blending in with the lush vegetation. The low wall, once discreet, has been transformed into an integrated garden where nature takes root at the very heart of the space. An outdoor kitchen has been installed in a corner that was previously difficult to exploit, now offering the possibility of cooking while admiring the view of Paris, with La Défense as a backdrop. The furniture, by Ego Paris, brings a touch of modern sophistication to this green setting.
To sublimate an unsightly chimney exit, a closed-circuit fountain was imagined, where water flows gently through a trough before pouring out continuously, guaranteeing minimal water consumption and an eco-responsible approach. Clad in strips of reconstituted wood, this installation adds a natural warmth to this contemporary space, while providing visual and acoustic soothing. Raised by 80 cm, the terrace reveals unsuspected perspectives, offering a breathtaking view of the Eiffel Tower, now accessible from two distinct areas: an elegant dining room and a living room with kitchen, allowing for varied experiences throughout the day.
A small wooden pergola was installed, creating a peaceful haven in which to work or recharge one’s batteries. The customer’s desire for exoticism was fulfilled with the addition of majestic palm trees and trellises of jasmine and honeysuckle, enveloping the fireplaces in intoxicating scents.
Last but not least, Kettal cushions complete this soft setting, adding comfort and refinement to this exceptional place. Thanks to this transformation, previously forgotten views of Paris’ emblematic monuments are revealed, offering a new perspective on the city, and an enchanting living space suspended between heaven and earth.
Thanks to this transformation, we have transformed spaces that were initially considered difficult to use into exceptional places. This project demonstrates how a creative vision can reinvent under-appreciated areas into true havens of peace, while offering captivating new perspectives on Paris’s iconic monuments.
